INFORMATION ABOUT GRADING & CONCENTRATION PERTAINING TO OUR DIAMOND COMPOUNDS

We supply only the highest concentration diamond compound in each of the "grade designation".

"VH" or "VHU" compounds are rated as "EXTREMELY HIGH" or "VERY HIGH"  with 100% concentration in this grade designation. VH or VHU  compounds have the fastest cutting rate and are best suited for polishing premium, heat-treated or pre-hardenet tool steel with a hardness range of 33 to RC65. The extreme efficiency of these compounds will reduce the amount of time spent on the job.

"SMU" a "STRONG MEDIUM" compound has 100% concentration in the "strong medium" grade range.  SMU Diamond Compounds are less expensive than VHU type, yet these compounds provide excellent and fast polishing results for most tool steels with a hardness range of 22 to 45RC.

"MU" or "MEDIUM" (also called Standard Grade) has 100% concentration in the "medium" grade designation. Our "medium" grade is very economically priced yet it will outperform many of the more expensive compounds available in the market place. "MU" designated compounds work well on steel types with a hardness range of 19 to 34RC and many non-ferrous metals including aluminum, brass, etc.

NOTE: The "U" at the end of the grade indentifies that they are "universal soluable", meaning in addition to oil and alcohol, water may also be used as a lubricant/cleaner.
