Blind-Hole brass lapping tools can be used to "precission lap" blind holes. To arrive at the precise bore dimension, increasingly expand the lap by means of the adjusting screw while lapping/honing until the desired "inside diameter" is accomplished. Use diamond compound when lapping pre-hardened tool steel from 35 to 60 RC. For regular "untreated" steel types you may use aluminum oxide or silicon carbide "lapping compound". Laps or "its parts" are available individually or in sets. PRICED AND SOLD 1 UNIT EACH!

NOTE: EACH LAP EXPANDS UP TO 15% ALWAYS REACHING THE NEXT LARGER STD. AVAILABLE DIAMETER LAP SIZE. Individual shanks will accomodate both "blind hole" or "through hole" laps. All shanks are listed in this section!
